On average, CASA volunteer Advocates spend 10 hours each month on their case. A typical month includes visits with the child/children, their families, caregivers, social worker, and others. They also prepare reports for the judge to review in making decisions for the child. CASA volunteer Advocates make a commitment to stay with a case until it is removed from the docket or "closed", yet CASAs can take vacations, etc. knowing the CASA Advocate Coordinators (staff) will continue to monitor the case whenever the Advocate needs.
