Learn how to identify the warning signs and indicators of child abuse and neglect, including physical, emotional, behavioral, and environmental factors that may place a child at risk. Through real world case examples and guided discussion, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the different forms of maltreatment, their impact on children and families, and the critical role adults play in protecting vulnerable youth.
This training also covers mandatory reporting requirements, how to make a report when abuse or neglect is suspected, and what happens after a report is filed. Participants will learn what information is helpful to provide and how community agencies work together to ensure child safety and well being.
This educational opportunity is highly recommended for educators, social service providers, law enforcement personnel, childcare providers, CASA volunteers, and any professional or community member who regularly interacts with children. By increasing awareness and knowledge, participants will be better equipped to recognize concerns early and take appropriate action to help keep children safe.
